Deck Chair Problems
I love this phrase:
Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic
It's used to describe when someone is working in a trivial problem but ignoring a much larger problem. As a software developer at a medium-sized not-pure-tech company, I can't help but feel like many of the problems I am tasked with a Deck Chair Problems. We aren't necessarily sinking in the middle of the ocean, but to my lowly position it seems our resources could be better devoted to things that people paying us money actually care about.
